This option allows participants to listen to a simultaneous interpreting of the speaker’s speech through headphones while the interpreter is working in our soundproof booth. To complete this intensive task, it is crucial to be fully concentrated. That is why two interpreters are needed for long sessions, who take turns every 20–30 minutes to ensure high-quality service and avoid mistakes caused by tiredness.
MOBILE INTERPRETING SYSTEMS
Mobile interpreting systems are the best solution when visiting manufacturing plants, museums or trade fairs. The interpreter speaks into a microphone, and participants hear the interpretation through headphones while moving freely around the premises. These systems make communication effortless for all participants, as they offer high-quality sound, are easy to use and do not interfere while speaking.
CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING
Consecutive interpreting involves the speaker pausing while the interpreter delivers the target language equivalent. This method of interpretation is best suited for presentations, negotiations, business meetings and interviews. The benefits of it include accurate interpreting and direct communication between the parties. However, a disadvantage may be that the meetings take too long, as each sentence is translated only after the speaker has finished their speech.
WHISPERED INTERPRETING
Whispered interpreting is carried out without equipment where the interpreter whispers the speaker’s translated speech almost simultaneously directly into the ears of one or two listeners. This method is successful in situations where the majority of participants know the speaker’s language. Among its advantages are discretion and no need for special equipment. However, it has a limited range – translation is only possible for a very small group of listeners.
